Going back to my room, the brick walls on one side is decorated with intricate circular carvings while on the other side is a painted cement wall. The balcony, which overlooks the fort and half of the Blue city, is quite spacious. The room is quite spacious as well with a king-sized bed and a two-seater sofa. It also has a walk-in closet good enough for two people. The whole room is embellished with decorations from a combination contemporary decors with a touch of terracotta bricks which are very common in the city of Jodhpur.
The facilities of the hotel are also wonderful. Upon entering the central area, you will pass through an alley-like entry with an amazing view of the fort. There is a huge space in the middle of the hotel complex which makes it feel uncrowded. There is a swimming, a restaurant with a roof top bar and a shop. There are also areas for relaxation, a spa and something like a prayer area.
When dusk comes, treat yourself with a view of Mehngarhar Fort as it light up. It stands stunningly above the entire walled city. You can get yourself a drink while having a spectacular view of the fort at night at the rooftop bar of the hotel.
The main entrance of the hotel may not be recognizable right away as the name Raas is not indicated at all. But the intricately designed gate will already enchant you that what is hidden inside is a pure gem. But Raas is arguably different from the surrounding outside. The peace and serenity you will experience inside is completely opposite of the chaos and tough encounters that is the walled city of Jodhpur.
The hotel maybe a bit pricey but it is definitely worth all your penny. And another great thing about this hotel is that what you see in their website will not disappoint you when you get there.
